The first Interzone CD, Terra Incognita, is recorded, edited, and mixed by Tijmen Zinkhaan.
I do not know much people who have his expertise, musicality, dedication, concentration, empathy, and humor. A rare combination indeed, to be treasured for life.

The 6-panel CD cover of Terra incognita is designed by Henk Kuijpers. An extraordinary work of art, that explores the possibilities of the folding and unfolding of a digipak to the full.
Based on his collector's item series the Cadillac Club, Henk added an extra scene to its story board, where his heroine Franka is at the point of breaking up her relation with saxophonist Lee, and calling a cab to leave him.
You are more than invited to visit the Franka website, browse through her beautiful and fascinating world, and maybe buy one of the collector items yourself ...

Photographer and graphical designer Ortrud Ladleif shot over 500 photographs during the Interzone recording session at Wisseloord, March 2006, of which - due to obvious limitations regarding space - only some 30 were published in the CD booklet that comes with Terra Incognita.
The photos, the wonderful design of the booklet and the delicate preparation of the CD cover for printing, show Ortrud's both professional and personal talents for combining creative and original design with a sharp eye for situation and context. It was a genuine pleasure working with her, and definitely will be again on a future occasion.

Lothar Solle, from Tonstudio Solle in Everswinkel, Germany, recorded our concert at the Kulturschiene in April 2004.
If you're interested in making live recordings of top quality for a reasonably good price in the areas of jazz or classical music, you should definitely check out his site.

Last but not least, thanks to the Board of 'Stichting de Thuiskopie' and the Advisory Council of the former 'ThuisKopie Fonds', for having continuing faith in this project and its members, and providing Interzone with the financial means to start up its activities in the initial phase and record its first official CD.
